@guanzhihuang , project manager at O’M, attended a very exciting milestone event this past weekend for the Pender Harbour Ocean Discovery Station (PODS), where the project announced agreement with shíshálh Nation and Green and Inclusive Community Building (GICB) funding. We look forward to working alongside a very passionate and skilled team on this endeavor. Once completed, PODS will be an innovative marine research centre, educational facility, and tourist destination, welcoming visitors of all ages to celebrate the region’s natural history and heritage. The hub will include immersive, interactive exhibits and mind-blowing displays about life in the Salish Sea using state-of-the art audio-visual technologies. Project Update: nearing completion! We are thrilled to have contributed our expertise in electrical consulting and design to the Southlands Lots 22-24 development, a visionary project that seamlessly blends contemporary living with the charm of a rural agricultural village. Strategically located west of Boundary Bay Road, our focus has been on enhancing the community experience through innovative electrical solutions. Comprising 16 townhomes and 7 detached estate cottages surrounding a welcoming communal courtyard, we have ensured that the electrical systems not only meet but exceed contemporary standards. We are thrilled to be collaborating with the team on the Chuck Bailey Recreation Centre Expansion project. Once complete, this expansion will seamlessly integrate with the existing facility, offering a multi-generational, flexible social hub for the Whalley community. The project focuses on a highly efficient, near-zero emissions design, ensuring climate readiness and good indoor air quality. Additionally, the project will employ Universal Design Principles and be pursuing the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Gold Certification. O’M provided a complete electrical design package that included Lighting and Lighting Controls, Power, IT Passive Infrastructure, Audiovisual and Security Systems.
